Chronodex ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
1. Information We Collect
- Account data: email address and display name (codename) you provide at signup
- Usage data: course progress, quiz scores, and leaderboard entries
- Payment data: processed entirely by Lemon Squeezy. We never see or store your credit card details
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain your account and access
- To display your codename on leaderboards
- To track course progress for your learning experience
- To process refund requests (checking completion thresholds)
- To communicate service updates via email (rare)
3. Data Storage
Your account and usage data is stored on Supabase, a secure cloud-hosted database platform with servers in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
4. Third-Party Services
- Supabase: authentication and database hosting
- Lemon Squeezy : payment processing (see their privacy policy)
- Vercel: web hosting, anonymous usage analytics, and performance monitoring (SpeedInsights)
- Resend: transactional and marketing email delivery
5. Cookies & Tracking
We use only essential cookies for authentication sessions. We use Vercel Analytics for anonymous, aggregated usage data (no personal information is collected). We do not use tracking cookies, third-party analytics pixels, or advertising trackers.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is only shared with the third-party services listed above as necessary to operate the platform.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data

8. California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what data we collect, the right to delete your data, and the right to opt out of the sale of your data. We do not sell personal information.
9. European Users (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Legal basis for processing: We process your personal data based on contractual necessity (to provide your account and course access), legitimate interest (for analytics and service improvement), and consent (for marketing emails, which you can withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email).
Your rights: You have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. You also have the right to restrict or object to processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Data transfers: Your data is stored and processed in the United States via Supabase and Vercel. These providers maintain appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.
